Inverse volatility strategy (GARP)
First, what is a GARP investment? GARP is an investment strategy that involves the purchase of short-term, inverse-duration investment strategies, such as VIX futures and options, that use futures and options on VIX futures.
GARP is an investment strategy that attempts to profit from a decline in volatility. If volatility declines, investors are able to enjoy stable markets. If volatility increases, investors can suffer losses.
